Title: Its for a good cause!
Post by: MC71 on June 01, 2014, 03:48:35 pm
My beautiful little sister has cancer and as always she's thinking of others and helping to raise money for Cancer Research UK by entering the "Race for Life" run/walk.

Every quid helps so if this plea adds only adds an additional fiver, brilliant, they're a fiver nearer curing this sh*tty disease.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer about this time last year and i can honestly say the last 12 months have been hell. Beck has for the last six months been on a daily dose of radiotherapy and fortnightly Chemo, the side effects especially from chemotherapy have been pretty horrendous. The treatment has now finished but we have an agonising 12 week wait before we find out if it has been successful.

MC71 - I sincerely wish your sister all the best and will be donating  :happy2:

Consider it done.

All the best to your sister martin, horrid disease, my old man has just started treatment for prostate cancer but his prognosis is good, again I wish your sister well.

My dad had skin cancer and whilst in New Zealand 3 years ago with testing due to immigration I was diagnosed with a accidental finding of leukaemia. Great accidental finding aye? Anyway sorry to hear about your sis mate it's an absolute dreaded disease and I hope one day soon they can stop the chemo and find a easy cure for it as with technology evolving quickly I would expect something soon!
Already donated before I posted :) hope her the best. I know how she feels.

Thank you peeps for your donations, it means a lot. I'm both touched and humbled by your kindness.

Told my sis Abigail that I put a link up on here, she says "thanks car people", lady of few words.
