Collecting this evening , first time ebay seller failed to put a reserve and also no postage ! Think they might learn a bit from my visit :innocent:
I saw an advert once for a 2.8 Capri in 1986/7 and it was for £150 , it was advertised in a Free Ads paper in Newmarket . I had a 2.8 Capri at the time and felt an allegiance to the seller so called the number to tell them of the mistake and spoke with a lady . She said the price was right as she had found her husband had been over the side for many months so she decided to sell his pride and joy while he was on a "Working" trip ! She sold the car for £150 and spent it on a pair of shoes to the first caller , which unfortunately wasn't me . She was the registered keeper too , but i can't remember the reason why .

Bargain that!
Been ages since I can remember getting a proper bargain of eBay.
But been a while since I've won anything on a auction most of the time I just get stuff that's buy it nows.

Managed to get a full set of ED30 mats in mint condition for.... £20.
Seller had listed them as R32 Mats and bidding price starting at £30. I pointed out that they weren't R32 mats (included a picture of genuine R32 mats). He said they were out of his mates R32 so assumed they were the R32 mats.
I told him I was sorry to break the bad news but I would give him £20 to take them off him - my 1.6 golf was red and the mats would match the colour of my car.
He seemed quite grateful that I will willing to do him a favour for taking them off his hands... win win I guess :P

99p WHAT!
I bought a ride on lawn mower last week that usually sells for £375-£500 used, seller said gearbox was shot. A quick strip & clean and it's super smooth and good as new... All for £100. Ok it does 2 mph but it's still fun :)

Bah, I never get lucky either. Best thing I got was a numberplate I thought was worth a fair bit for £32, turns out I can't even sell it for pennies. :sad1:
On the up-side, I won a PS4 for £144.78 on eBay and sold it for £380 when it was first out! Result!
