Title: need help !! sub problems

i have been fitting a sub to my car, i have wired it all in and the amp is powering up, everything seems to be working fine....

i have connected the rca adapter to the speaker wires in the back of the head unit (rcd300) but nothing happens to the sub but all the amp is lit up.

i took the same sub and rca adapter out of my previous car, it was all working fine before hand.

help would be much appreciated

Are you 100% you've put the RCA adapter across the plus and minus speaker wires?  And not mixed them up at all?

Yep , I thought I might have done that at first but i tripple checked it and it's correct , really confused, spent 12 hours fitting it and trying to get it to work  :sad1:

Sounds silly but have you connected the leads from adaptor to amp?

Yep all wires are connected, might just have to buy a new rca adapter to make sure its not blown, but was working fine when I took it out of my last car

12 hours, you've obviously done it properly the. with seats out, carpet up etc  :P

yep :laugh: what a pain in the arse it was .. lost of swear words later and i managed it. Can't fault vw for the build quality though  :happy2:
