Saw this a few minutes ago, proper sad news. A LEG END from my yoof.

I can't think of anything he did that wasn't brilliant and made me laugh out loud but especially The Young Ones, Bottom and Blackadder.

Devastated about this news. Comedy hero. Rip Rik. His mum taught at the first school in Alvechurch where I went to middle school too. :(

I grew up watching the young ones in my teens together with blackadder and then later the New Statesman. A real comic genius as he wrote most of his own work as well as deliver it. such a rare thing these days

I was gutted to hear this news today - RIP Rik. Loved Flash in Blackadder, have had such a laugh just watching clips on youtube...
