It doesn't pop as standard you have to do mod.
Just boot unlock

You need to hold the boot release button on the fob down for a couple seconds, If it still doesn't pop then it needs a quick click with vcds, softouch release  :happy2:

Middle button on the fob needs holding down a bit longer.  I think it only works when the car is locked - not when the driver's door is already unlocked.  When you've opened it that way, the car locks itself when you close the boot, so never put your keys in the boot!

The button on the fob (when the car comes from the factory) simply allows the boot handle to be used without fully opening the car, i.e. the other doors.

However, this function can be modified via VagCom (VCDS) in order to operate the boot latch solenoid, which will in turn allow the boot to 'pop' open once different struts, pins and bump stops are fitted (search for 'boot pop mod' or similar) - the required parts can be easily sourced from Skoda/Seat dealers  :happy2:
