New project for me, needed a 5dr with the mrs about to drop the second sprog! Thought I may aswell upgrade to a dsg eddy  :driver:

No thats a mates gti with my xenons on! Done a swap before selling the red one, Had them years, bought them from a member on here. Love em, just wish they were factory with washers and levellers  :sad1:  will do the shutter wire install soon to really bring them to life  :wink:

Also mk6 CECM 3c8 E with cornering fogs, ambient footwell lighting enabled amongst other bits (no pictures)
The shutter wire is in allowing xenon flash (de-activation of halogen beam also selected) (no pics)
Genuine Armrest MDI kit, however it had to be 'persuaded in,' it works great but its not aesthetically pleasing so no pics until I tidy it up  :ashamed:

I ordered a set from skoda, these 4 smd led units are the same dimensions as the mk5 fog, its just the mounting brackets are back to front!

They require a tiny bit of adjusting bodging to get them to fit :laugh:! I have coded them with vcds as 'fogs as drls' and the 'drl dimming' is currently at 80%, pics don't do these justice

The led units were £42 each new from skoda, which i thought was cheap! Then a few quid for repair wires and the plugs to connect them  :happy2:

I assume you need the mk6 cecm to do this? and that if they are drl's they now don't have the cornering function?

You don't need a mk6 cecm as the option 'fogs as drls' is on all cecm's. Also cornering fogs leds still work with headlights  :happy2:

Thanks, The plugs are 3 pin on the leds as opposed to the 2 pin fogs. I only used 2 pins to power them with the new plugs however they do require a resistor inline to trick the canbus  :happy2:
