Yes... thats what I meant. I understand the principle of flight, but it always amazes me that you can put 500tons of metal in the sky and it a) Fly and b) not snap the wings off.

I was there for Download festival last weekend and saw it fly out on the Thursday from my campsite. I thought it was an Antonov! Made a bloody massive noise! :signLOL:
-
Very cool.
Then they put a 95Db noise limit on Trackdays right nextdoor at Donington  :fighting: haha
-
Saw this on one of those terrible Chis Barrie programmes.
It's an amazing machine and being the only flying warehouse, it's services must be very valuable.
Doesn't trump Concorde as the most incredible flying machine :notworthy:

They got black flagged and had to fit extra silencers :P

Amazing

Gotta love it

Passed this (about 1 mile laterally separated) at about 35,000 ft over Afghanistan a few years ago. Even in the air this thing is a monster!
:surprised:
The only other thing I've seen that looked anything like it was whilst taxiing between two C5 Galaxy whilst at a US Airbase. Truly amazing and old bits of kit! :happy2:
