Title: Car won't start - VAG COM won't link to car
Post by: JackP on June 14, 2014, 11:47:34 am
I've got a mk5 tdi and had my head unit out (rns mfd2) trying to splice a live for an iPod wire. Sorted that and blew a fuse for the head unit. Replaced that got it working again. Anyway come to start my engine and it wouldn't start. Just turns over while beeping at me then after 10 seconds "STOP oil pressure engine off!". After that it says "airbag fault!"

Been round and checked all the fuses none of them are broken. Tried to plug vag com in it and it wouldn't link to the car.

I'm fresh out of ideas gunna have to take it to an auto electrician. Has anybody on here got any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated.

Jack

Possibly disconnect the battery for a while, then re-connect and see what's what, strange that your vag.com won't talk to it,is it a genuine vag.com or a cheap copy?
