£24.50 for a puncture repair :fighting:
-
they charge you for the patch;new valve;and to valance it :stupid:
-
Probs takes just as long to change a tyre so I don't think that's really a bad price :booty:
-
Apart from its KwikFit.
My personal opinion - AVOID!
-
Usually only £10 from an independent tyre place!
-
I charge £10 to forum members for a puncture

£10 only applies to the black ones :happy2: my local tyre spot only charge £10 but I got the puncture after 4pm and didn't fancy not having the car over the w/end
First I get stopped for doing 120 on the M6 then a puncture in a new tyre My luck has got to change :signLOL:

I don't get whats wrong with the price :stupid:
Going Kwik fit on the other hand :signLOL:

They did a fine job of MOTing mine. No complaints
-
I've avoided Kwik Fit since the day I passed my test.

More like £20 at all the independants I've used.
-
£7 at my local tyre fitter

Rip off for sure but sometimes KwikKrap are the closest tyre fitting place. I had a tyre repaired recently at my very local Kwikflap, they charged me for the normal puncture price which includes a balance. The tyre fitter didn't balance my wheel so I asked for that portion of the charge back, which was duly refunded. Tyre's still holding air!

I agree. I was on the Motorway and heard a clicking noise coming from a tyre. Sure enough, i had a screw stuck in it. Space saver on and google to find the nearest quick fit and 30 mins I was on my way again. 25 quid isnt that bad I dont think. Its not a 5 min job.

+1
I could pretty much see them sorting it and they weren't messing about
25 quid and they didn't damage the alloy either. Can't complain?

Took mine in there years ago after getting a puncture when I had the little one with me one day. Walked the manager round the car and explained the wheels had just been done and there wasn't a mark on them.... Then came back to find a perfect job only had the wrong tyres came back again another 30 mins or so to find right tyres and tool marks everywhere... End result kwik fit paying £400 or so for a full respray.... Never again!

Lets just be sensible about this.
To remove and refit and balance a tyre will cost between 10-17 quid depending on where you take it
Lets say £50 per hour labour... gonna take the chap 15mins to patch it, but will charge you for 1/2 hour... so thats 25 quid.
so ~15+25= £40quid
so 25 quid aint that bad... and its certainly better than 130-140 quid for a new tyre

Kwik fit price is MORE than twice that of three local centres Im getting one of those DIY kits to keep in the boot ££
-
Our 1.6fsi had a slow puncture. Local place checked it and found that the valve was leaking. Cost me £10.
