Hi all,
I've been directed over this way from Briskoda, in search of a VW/Audi brake guru. I acquired some 312mm and 286mm caliper carriers and wanted to upgrade the 288/260 discs on my Skoda Octavia Scout. Fronts bolted straight on with no problems but I'm really struggling to find a rear backplate that fits.
The standard 286mm back plates from the Golf GTI/Octavia VRS don't fit because of the rear driveshafts with the Scout. So I tried the back plates from a Mk5 Golf that had 4WD and 286mm rears (R32, I think?) - but these use a different hub (three screw fitting for back plates rather than four on the Scout)
I've taken a few photos, including part numbers and am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction (Audi maybe?)
This is the rear hub from the Scout

This is the existing back plate showing fittings and then the part number

Finally this is the part number for the Golf backplate that doesn't fit.

I know the rears aren't going to make a big difference, but discs and pads need replacing anyway and as I've got the caliper carriers anyway...
Any suggestions gratefully received - and sorry for crashing your forum!
John.
