Hi all
I'm booked in to r-tech on Wednesday for a stage 2 remap.
My hard wear BCS TBE, evome filter and eurojet FMIC. What so of power am I looking to be getting?
How much extra is the dsg remap? And is it worth doing?
Thanks Gary

Normal GTI or ED30?

If it's an Eddy, you'll see around 330bhp and yes you should get your DSG mapping too if your planning on adding loads of torque. You want see much more power without a HPFP but it's no about figures, its about who the power is delivered.
Phone Ben, he's the price meister or check their website, probably VERY reasonable (read cheap) if their map prices are anything to go by.
:happy2:

It's just a normal GTI.
Anyone got a rough ball park figure for the dsg map?
-
Yeah had my stage 2+ and stage 2 dsg done last week it was 150 for the dsg mate, they are fantastic people with mucho knowledge Best guys in the trade for tfsi granted!

What differences will I see with a DSG remap?

What differences will I see with a DSG remap?
Faster shifts, higher revs on launch control, upping the clutch packs to take more lbft
-
It's just if I can justify the extra cost for the dsg as well
-
Niki usually does a bundle price... not sure what it is though. Just ring them up

I'm down at R-tech tomorrow at 9.30 so will find out soon enough how good they are

Great service yesterday. :notworthy:
Figures from the map:
262.9 bhp and 322.68 ft/lbs
Not to bad for a AXX engine.
The car is totally transformed, instant useable power enhanced by the DSG map as well :happy2:

Great results there mate. What i dont understand is how Revo can say that their map will take my GTi (AXX) with induction kit right up to 260bhp???

Going there tomorrow.. .£500 for stage 2 mapping with DSG software..

Had a Revo map instead.
Long story short my Mrs was late getting up and we hit some traffic. I had tried to call Rtech since about 8:45 to say we'd be 40 minutes late or so but didn't get through until 9:30. Niki said to hurry up so I got going.... Then got a call back telling us to turn around.
I can understand their position from a point of view of it effecting their other work in the day, which is fine but I had been booked in for basically 6 weeks and had taken a day off work for it, to be turned away for after an 80 mile drive for 40 minutes is a bit annoying, as I said I can understand their point of view but nevertheless.... :sad1: That's business.
In the end I went to AKS and my partner in forum administration sorted me out with a Stage 2 with DSG software, no power figures but it feels like 260bhp, about 320lb ft.. very happy with it to be fair. I got a good deal, I won't say the price I paid but it wasn't much more than R-tech.
