Hi,
I'm from Ireland and have been a huge fan of the GTI since I started driving. There's not much interest in this country with car modification and no such forum exists so I was very happy to find a UK one with so many like minded people.
I bought my mk5 GTI 8 months back and have used the forum on a regular basis so I thought I better join up. I'd say I've gone through 50% of your material already and every chance I get I'm looking up new posts.
I've already started a thread in word that I'm looking to upload. I'm under the impression I need to contact an administrator to set up a build thread but until I get to 8 posts I cannot send a pm so I'm stuck on here for a while.
Looking forward to contributing to the site.
Luke

Welcome. Looks like a nice spec :happy2:

Welcome mate, great colour choice Steel Grey FTW & xenon's are always a must have. :happy2:

shaz_bluebell wanted the DSG from day one but I was turned off by fear of something going wrong down the line from too many dodgy drivers and bad reviews. I definitely will consider it in the future!
Went for highest spec I could find, only missing multifunction steering wheel & cruise control I think. Installation of both of these could be on the cards though.....

Why not pick up a low spec base mk5 GTI for your weekend car? Haha
It's nice to see so many people on here showing genuine respect for their cars. I look after mine like a child and all of my neighbours think there's something wrong with me!
