Title: MP3 player radio won't play
Post by: Biscuit on June 21, 2014, 11:57:11 pm
Not had my GTI long but today I thought I would plug my phone into the mp3 lead and play some music from that.
The head unit in the car says mp3 at the top of it but I can not find how you select mp3 on the head unit itself.
The only options I can see are FM, AM and CD.

So my question is, how do you select mp3 option on your head unit???

Thank you

Ben

My phone.
The cable from the back of the radio comes out underneath into where the 12v power socket is.
I then plugged my phone into it with an adaptor ( because I have iphone5 ) that takes it from the iPod connection to the iPhone 5 size lead.
There is power to it as when I plugged it into my phone, the phone came up with that it was charging.

Confused!!!!  :rolleye:

There is no mp3 button either.
Even though it says mp3 on top of the head unit.

Or am I being thick  :stupid:

normally to get any other output to work you need to press the CD button twice (like cd changers or iPod dock)
