Päivää Tampereelta! Nice to see some fellow Finns around. I agree, this is a great forum for us Finns too! I am driving a 2007 2d TR GTI myself mostly in Tampere and Helsinki areas.

Hi,

At the moment I have installed MTC intake and S3 intercooler and done some basic maintenance, changing all filters, plugs etc..  I also have ordered Autotech hpfp internals and a Milltek downpipe, I will install them when I have time. Car is cosmetically OEM , just the way I like it. It has full leather, xenons and 18" Denvers.

Here is a project picture from yesterday, fitting the S3 cooler. I also changed ta A/C conderser, it was pretty beaten. Garden scissors were not used in this install, helper left them there

^ Nice plans! I agree the GTI looks so good OEM that most cosmetic mods will just ruin the car (apart from lowering and some BBS alloys of course). 2d body with xenon headlights makes such a difference too compared to a 4d one with halogens.

ps. Sandel's is an excellent fuel for car projects hahah.  :happy2: I also had a few of them couple of weeks ago when I did a thorough detailing on my GTI.

Yes, some BBS would be lovely, but first things first. No show, all go.

Actually the Autotech parts arrived today, I might install them today. But first I think I have to wash my engine comparment, it was so filthy. And absolutely I have to polish those exhaust tips, gives nicer look. Perhaps some Plastidip on those chrome badges..

I agree completely! I even switched from 18" original denvers to 17" Oz ultraleggeras :) All the car really needs is a small drop and thats it.

I washed engine compartment, I think the result is ok. I did not spend much time with it. I cleaned the exhaust tips, were bit corroded. Nothing that a Dremel could not handle, did small repair.  Going to get in near future also new catback, so not worth to spend a lot time.

Also used Plastidip on the front bagde, looks better to my eye.

Today had some brake fluid changing with my buddy who has VCDS to control the ABS unit. Also fuel filter was changed at this point, because the car was on a lift.  I also ordered a PCV delete kit.

Perhaps I should make a Member ride thread about this, but I guess I´m too lazy for that.

Little updates on the car. I have installed Autotech hpfp internals, pcv delete and Milltek downpipe.  Car feels much nicer on low rpm, I think the Milltek was spot on. I think I will at least order GFB Dv+ before going to remap, not sure if I need anything else..

Booster Performance from Ebay:

Milltek with some heatwrap:
