Title: clunking noise
Post by: markt on June 24, 2014, 10:14:33 pm
I have developed a clunking noise from the passenger side front at slow speeds and when turning on full lock at standstill. On further inspection the cv boot is covered in grease could it be the cv joint

Sounds like you have answered your own question there  :happy2:

Other clunking noises at speed have been the subframe moving (fixed cheaply with a spacer kit)

Checked springs then noticed a nice load of grease all over the cv boot

If your planning on fixing yourself a new outer CV's about £30

Or a garage may charge up-to 2hr's labour .... So call it £80 at most garages (£40 p/h labour)
