Welcome mate, so you've come from the darkside? I'm not sure how local it is to Lytham St Annes but i'd recommend goAPR or R-Tech. :happy2:

Yeah ive got rid of the oil burner! Although i gotta say, these tfsi engines arent exactly quiet if im honest!
Cheers for the recommendations,  :happy2: ive found 2 places which use APR software - Awesome GTI in Manchester i think i might go for as they seem legit.
In your opinion, Is it worth upgrading a few parts and going straight to a stage 2?  :driver:

Hi mate

I'd definitely head down to awesome gti in Manchester for a APR remap

I came to a standard petrol Tfsi (mk2 cupra owner) from a mk2 fr tdi that was stage 2 shark mapped.... To be honest even as standard it feels as quick as my old fr tdi

I'll be going to R-Tech for stage 2 soon. There also a great tuning company for the Tfsi's.

Yeah i think i will go to Awesome GTI tbh, im just not sure whether to wait till i get a decat downpipe, CDA air filter and exhaust it then go to a stage 2 straight away
i used to have a mk2 leon fr tdi on a stage 1, it was quick but the TFSI is quicker top end and has a better rev range standard.... i just miss the torque!

Get the pre-cat taken out the exhaust and go to r-tech, my ed30 is immense, cant wait for Inters for the 1/4 mile with 305hp & 325ftlb  :driver: also look at the DV and PCV valve before you do any mapping, just serach the forum for details.

Cheers mate

to be honest i wish id of gone for an ed30 now, i didnt realise they already have a k04 etc
easier to tune and get the bhp up quicker!  :happy2:
Rtech are pretty far away from me, closest really is awesome gti which do an APR map
ive heard alot of good things about Revo aswell

Theres a tuning stage package aswel which ive been looking at -

Stage 2 Tuning

Revo Stage 2 performance software has been developed to attain the best possible performance from cars with bolt on performance modifications such as a performance exhaust, sports or de cat, intake and intercooler. Stage 2 ties together the upgrades and is tuned to maximise their potential on your car.
Typically you can see another 10-15% on top of the gain from stock to stage1 when using the recommended hardware upgrades.

CEL Delete feature

Stage 2 allows you to run a de-cat or sports cat without having a CEL (Check Engine Light) come on. It also gives you more flexibility with settings over stage 1 to make the most of the additional potential from the up-rated hardware.

Prices from £1599+VAT

Includes:

ADS 3" Large Bore Downpipe & Decat
ADS Cat-back Race System
Revo Stage 2 Software
ADS Performance Intake
Datalog Setup
*Labour for fitting: £130+VAT

or would it be cheaper to buy all the parts seperately?

Ye i've only heard good things about Awesome GTI in Manchester, personally I would upgrade and go straight to stage 2 but that's just me.

Best asking the tuner of your choice for there recommendation on mods prior to stage 2 mapping.

i have a feeling they will advise quite a few parts though to get theyre ££££s
i might just do decat downpipe and cda air filter, i dont really want to change the exhaust as i want to keep it fairly quiet but i will if neccesary
