Fist pic off the boat

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fbaz88icf%2FCupra_280%2Fdownload_20140618_104252_zpseeewktit.jpeg&hash=53679f173d0c0359801c6eecdad41c95ec177ff5)

And in my usual fashion I have had it modified before I even pick it up.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fbaz88icf%2FCupra_280%2Fdownload_20140626_093119_zps1zokhubm.jpeg&hash=dfe772d9751b2c1f6f66fcac25978fd43e5357cf)

So due to working a hell of alot of night shifts I haven't been able to go collect it yet, I pick it up on the 30th.

On the 2nd of july its booked in for the following:

VWR Springs

This.

Seat have gone leaps and bounds with the interior on the newer models in my opinion. Used to be a major put off for me because they looked dated inside compared to the Golf. But now, the new Leon's look awesome and the 280 is the same price as the MK7 GTi pretty much!

are these K04 still or totally different now?

Didnt realise there was software available for these new vRS/Cupra/GTI etc yet?

I'm falling more and more in love with the Seat Leon's over Golfs. This hasn't helped matters at all. :signLOL:

Fully loaded about 29k RRP, Can be got for about 26k

IIRC its a IHI turbo set up, exactly the same as the S3/R just tuned down slightly.

The APR software isn't avaialble yet at the moment I dont think, still testing and the DSG TCU is going to be even longer I think

Currently got a MK3 Leon FR TDI and its so much nicer than the 2x MK2 leon's I had.

When are you expecting software to be released?  Any projected stage 1,2 and 2+ figures?

Hopefully soon.

Stage1 seems to be about 350 from what I've seen so far of the R/S3 tuning

So yep made the trip to Spa for the weekend, SEAT Leon Eurocup.. Thanks to SEAT Sport again for letting me attend.

On the way I had a massive detour in Brussels which involved driving around and around for ages looking for a decent place to park.. Managed 412 miles to the tank though.

On the way back managed 427 miles to the tank. this included a trip into Gent and a trip to the beach.

This was all done on cruise control keeping to the speed limits (mainly 120-130 km/h) in Cupra mode using Drive.

Very punchy combined with sport mode in DSG.

Would imagine the manual car feels alot smoother.

Had the car on a local RR today, Used by Volkswagen Racing and REVO.

The dyno is a MAHA, my old Stage1+ MK2 LCR was also measured on a MAHA.

Stock (REVO stock mode with VWR intake and 99Ron fuel)

Why is the correction used so high? the second graph for example, 263WHP, 334 flywheel power, corrected to 372hp!? Intake air of 60 degrees when ambient is only 18?

Nice gain though from 292 to 334, bet it goes well.

The dyno is measuring the intake air temp via the OBD port. Same dyno as Supperchips.

I'm skeptical of the IAT reaching 61 degrees C  (42 above ambient) on a Dyno run unless there is zero airflow to the front of the car, either that or the IC really isn't up to the job. Wonder if IATs are similar out on the road or whether it was just poor aiflow on the day

I also don't agree with the dyno adjusting for the IAT measured by the ECU, it should be measured for the ambient temps, otherwise you are getting an unfair/inaccurate adjustment in your favour, and nobody would ever need to upgrade an intercooler again!? Craziness. Be good to see it on a Dyno that simply measured the power and corrects for ambient conditions

The intercooler on these TSI engines is poor.. the engine is absolutely red hot after driving.. never seen an engine like this. I thought there was something wrong with it then I noticed the VW Golf R is exactly the same.

Luckily for me Peron are producing a cooler for the GTI/R/S3/Cupra 265/Cupra 280

So popped down to Volkswagen Racing today!

After

Volkswagen Racing R600 intake.

In comparison to stock it looks very similar, but with a huge filter!

Yeh they are.. Matt told me how much work and development and most of all money went into design and producing these. He's very proud of it.

I love how the case matches the engine cover.
