i did a run from preston to london and got
42.2mpg
avg speed 57mph
meaning i will get 520miles out of a full tank at this rate!
-
Yeah I got something like that (think it was 43-44mpg) but then for the last 10-15 mins of the journey I got fed up and hit the pedal. The mpg dropped to below 30mpg for the entire journey!
-
best ive managed is about 44mpg on a long journey, but i very rarley approach that. half it maybe and ill achieve that on a regular occurance
-
Average I get is around 32-34mpg - and that's a mixture of road legal driving on the motorway coupled with long periods of 100-120 mph.

If it makes you feel better - yes!

80% of my driving is in rural areas around town.
10% is sensible motorway driving ( 80-90mph )
10% is a bit of fun sometimes.
I average 31.5mpg
-
on a long run and taking it easy i get around 39mpg, but it is usually around the 27-31mpg range as i do alot of town driving
-
Motorway runs see about 33mpg
-
I've done just over 500 miles in my since buying at the start of October. I'm averaging 30.8mpg but most of this is on journeys of 10 - 15 miles. I'm using Shell V-Power not cheap nasty ordinary stuff.

GT3 - get ur ED30 remapped via REVO... its a must !!!
-
Do remaps effect MPG at all? Providing you are not using your extra power to move through the gears quickly?
If I were to do a 15 mile journey at 30/40mph, would it be any different with the remap?
-
no different to OEM , perhaps even slightly better if you dont hoof it!
up and back from ecosse this weekend , 30mpg avg @ 85 mph (with occassional slow to 50 mph for roadworks) , edition 30 stg1 APR :happy2:
always love the feeling of clicking resume at 50 in 6th ........
-
I normally see 38mpg ish on long rush hour motorway journeys. e,g, Leicester to Staines - that is going to work (who rushes to work) but low 30's mpg going home
-
I drive 7miles to work, i get around 35mpg on the way and usually about 20mpg on the way home... I dont think ive ever seen over 38mpg regardless of how i drive

Why is it a must? Are you saying i'll get much better mpg, or is your comment just from a power/performance point of view?
With my weekend car producing 415bhp from a non-turbo 3.6L engine and stats of 0-60 in 4.3s and top speed of 192mph, I cant justify spending £££s on mapping my Ed30 just for the reason of more bhp.
Does the mapping make the car drive better or achieve better mpg or does it just give you more power only?
-
my car @stage 1 was better on mpg by about 3-5mpg avearge id say. went out the window when i went further though
-
Im no good at the MPG game, Im much better at the MPH game, get a much higher score.........

haha i like the challenge when im doing Preston to Brighton and back. managed 45.2mpg in the end, then that went to 31.3mpg after Birmingham as it was 12pm n wanted to get home!
-
Mine avearge mpg has dropped since the map by around 2mpg.
But my blame lays purely on the fact, its hard not to toe it more often then before.
