Hi guys,
I have an RCD500 stereo (as below) and wondered if it was possible to add either an Aux output or iPod connection to this headunit?
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.service24shop.de%2Fimages%2Fproduct_images%2Fpopup_images%2F2_0.jpg&hash=969fd1d148b278f4a3da81c6cabd8d531432ed04)
If so, what will I need/where can I get it from?
Sorry, really not good with this sort of thing. :stupid:
Thanks

Yes, you can. I currently have that in mine with the iPod lead that runs into the glovebox. It's not the greatest functionality wise as you can't browse through your music via the stereo but it does work.
Contact demon666 on here, I think he'll be able to help you out. Failing that, I'm removing mine at the weekend so could maybe sell you mine.

If you choose to sell it mate let me know :happy2:

I have an XCarlink iPod/aux in adaptor that is now redundant as I have replaced my rcd500 with a Kenwood 521dab.
It is the same as this;

It has the 3.5mm headphone socket.
They are excellent, mine is boxed and in perfect working order. I had an Ipod connected in the glovebox.
Let me know if your interested.
