Title: Any experience of this HU? InPhase IPX-VW1
Post by: mk5Eire on July 03, 2014, 10:09:17 pm
Im looking into upgrading the rcd 300 in my gti and i want something that looks oem in the dash. The RNS510 is out of my price range, my two options are the RCD510 or this HU http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/ipx-vw1-stock-factory-upgrade-sat-nav-card-usb-port-aux-input-bluetooth-p-17892.html

Im curious because i only found one review on uk mkivs for it and the guy seemed happy enough. It looks oem and quality appears good, albeit its probably not the prettiest Headunit. Just wondering why it doesnt seem to be common across the vag range? At that price it really is tempting me but then im afraid it would be a get what you pay for situation and i value my music in the car lol! I need something with really good sound quality.

So any help much appreciated,

Sean.

Personally wouldn't touch it mate, looks like a cheap Chinese copy of an oem unit. You hit the nail on the head, you get what you pay for and I've defo learnt that from previous cheap purchases!

Personally i wouldn't touch it.

If you are looking to upgrade consider getting the RCD510 and if you need one, a Gateway from EDDIE-NL.
