Had my car serviced at VW last Friday , did oil and pollen filter.
Since then I have noticed when i put the aircon on I get a hissing sound through the vents, I don't see any diff in the temp of air coming through with having the aircon on or off.
Would the aircon light come on and sound change if the fuse for aircon was blown ? If so anyone know which fuse it is ?
Should the revs drop slightly when aircon switched on and compressor cuts in ??

Good Old stealers yes we will look at it for you £138
local regas £39 has fixed it :P

Yes, but did they do all the necessary checks or just regass it. £138 is a bit on the expensive side though !

I had my aircon regarded the other week and was hissing turned out the whole lot leaked out if the pressure sensor valve... Common fault apoarantly

My Aircon wasn't working, Turned out to be compressor, Replaced with a 2nd hand one. Works now, but i can constantly hear a hissing noise even when its not on.

Anyone know where the persure sensor valve is located?

In case it's of help to anyone:-
From 01/03/2013
1K0 959 126E. Price £59.80 full retail
Seal for fitting. 8E0 260 749. Price £0.68
This sensor is on the left hand side looking into the engine bay at the front (about the top of the cooling fans for a hight position) - very common problem that the sensor plastic top becomes porous that's why it was rev E in the parts listing!

Can be tricky to access without the right tools, you need a crow-foot spanner ideally.
