Title: black vw badges??

hi guys where are people buying there black front and back vw badges from or should i spray them myself? or buy a mk 6 badge?

and if i was wanting a white background on the rear badge should i use vinyl or paint it?? i dont want to pull the full mechanism off the car  :laugh:

Mk6 beveled 3D is the best option.

As to paint or vinyl, up to you. Wrap is the easy option, just pop the emblem off and your good to go. I removed the emblem on my latest Mk6 one, painted/colour coded the backing of mine and then put it on my car....

Front one. eBay, 5 min job once you've removed the front grill which is only 4 Torx screws.

Which Black one did you buy as they usually don't fit the 3D Mk5 mech? Not to sorry you.  :happy2:

That's a Mk6 3D beveled one. Will be a direct fit onto a Mk6 rear handle/mech but IIRC need a fit of fiddling to get it to fit a Mk5 handle.

Contact Simon (brookesb32 on here) as he's the man when it comes to modding these and can point you in the right direction.

Ahh right cool. I assume it's just a few clips need adjusting I'll do a search on it.
