Any had experience with the srs tec front wings?
I'm after pictures etc
Any other options?
I'm running 3sdm 005s 8.5 j et 42 I think and don't want to run spacers as I have a staggered fitment! And I also don't want it to look silly with the wheels hidden under the arch!
:happy2:

?

For that wheel size you don't need fancy extended wings.
Seen them on one car and looks wrong without wider rear arches too.
-
This is my issue but I have folded then and flared as much as poss and I'm still rubbing slightly on a turn with an incline!
I did see a mk6 with them at gti and it looked okay but no idea what the offset was!
-
Also the wings I'm on about still look standard! You really wouldn't tell until a standard one is sat next to it!
Obviously you would see the wheel sat under arch more..
Also thinking no rust issues!
I just need more pics etc before I decide what to do!

They look very good

I chose the Kerscher ones, 30mm wider and the fitment almost OEM, after i tried the Seibo Carbon ones that idn't fit at all.
I would recommend Kerscher

Danish what size wheel and tyre you run with the wings?

As i have the TT mk 2 hubs and lower control arms which gives app. 22mm wider track each side it's not exactly comparative of a mk 5 gti, but wheels are 8x18" ET 45 TD PR 1.2
I would like to go TD PR 1.2 9x18" ET 45 but they don't make them with an ET higher than 35. I believe they could be there the 9" and then have 255 wide tyres on for traction, but i have found some 8,5x18" that are a possibility, but funds aren't found for that yet :sad1:

If I get them is it going to sort my issue? Been that the car is low it's rubbing on the wing every now and again when on a turn with slight incline...
-
Also xjay I see how low yours Is on your sig.. Is it on air?

Then something is wrong. I barely rubbed at all with 18x8.5et44 and that was before I had rolled arches etc. 115/25 tyres. With the arches etc pulled and rolled then 225/40 would be fine dude
Yes mate car is on air.
-
Don't get me wrong it's only a little a bit... It's a lot better after folding the arches but I couldn't pull them any more with the tool I had!.
And I have to be on a turn in that's also an incline so like pulling into a drive or something! Doesn't run the arch at all when driving normally

Like I say it's low! And I'm not on air!
And the front drops a bit more than that on a flat as well..

Mine obviously ain't pulled enough lol!! I'm no body expert and I couldn't get them to pull any more as it was just bedding out the front of the wing!
Need new wings any way!!
Also et44 would be pushed into the arch more if I remember correctly?
Like I say above it's minimal rubbing but that's not the point! I don't want rubbing at all! Not cool!
-
2mm more into the arches, nothing in it really.
Just trying to understand the OP because with rolled arches that he rubs and he shouldn't that's all :)
-
2mm would probably be enough just about to clear on mine haha!
I have m tec discs.. It's poss that they are slightly thicker than the old ones I guess..
Also low as yours go's does it rub the right side driveshaft on the chassis it have you notched it?
-
Also the new top mounts are a superseded part no so don't be surprised if that f*cks with the camber :/
