Title: Need someone who is good with German
Post by: Matto on July 12, 2014, 07:14:54 am
Is anyone good with German abbreviations? There are some I'm trying to figure our on a Bosch ABS pump from my brothers track car. I am re-making the rear brakes lines to run inside the car as the originals were badly corroded.

I just need to know which is left and right. The letters on the pump are VD, VG, (MC1, MC2, I'm assuming these are master cylinder connections), RD and RG.

Now I have tried google translate and managed to figure that the V is Vorderseite (Front) and R is Ruckseite (Rear).

The bit I'm struggling with is what the D and G are for. It will be left and right but it is not the standard German word for left and right.

Does anyone has an idea which one is which?

Thanks in advance  :happy2:

Here is a photo so you can see what I mean.

I thought the same Rich as the car is French. Bosch are German though and also the French translation for front and rear doesn't match the letter.

BUT I have solved the issue  :signLOL:

Just been sat at work and it suddenly sprang to mind that the fronts haven't been removed so just need to see which side VD and VG goes to. IDIOT springs to mind.  :ashamed:
