Title: Steel Grey Ed30 Owner
Post by: HallED30 on July 12, 2014, 07:49:57 pm
Hi guys, just bought my Steel Grey Ed30 towards the end of May :driver:. Have always wanted one since my dad used to own a Pirelli Edition a couple of years back which he super chipped stage 2. My first car was a Mini Cooper which I did some changes to but nothing major (H&R springs, Jcw wheels, Scorpion exhaust etc.) But it got to the point where i found there wasn't much i could do with the Mini and felt like i wanted to go down the route of having the ability to not only change the look of my car to what i wanted but also have a lot of options in terms of performance which brought me to my 2007 manual ED30. Was initially looking for a dsg but wasn't fussy so when this one came along with the xenons i had to grab it. Double din is the thing i am needing most, being without iPod is killing me already. I've just ordered some bilstein b14 coilovers to drop the height and help with the handling of the car which I'm hoping to fit next week, plan on making my own wheel spacers next week which i've already drawn up but just need to whack them out after work. Next up will be brakes i think as I'm a sucker for a big brake set up behind oem wheels  But I'm not going to rush myself in the car so i become bored. Eventually I'm going to get round to intake, exhaust and remap but at the moment I'm already enjoy double the power of what i was used to, plus I'm needing to keep up with my fuel bills :scared:

Here's my Mini:

Welcome!

Looks great - steel grey is a decent subtle colour on these, and love it on mine!
Sounds as though you have some good plans - look forward to your build thread!

Cheers,
Dave

Awesome colour. Looking for a ED30 in the same. Saw an R32 earlier today in Steel Grey and looked amazing.
