Title: I hate white cars
Post by: Tortaruga on July 13, 2014, 11:39:03 pm: It's a completely irrational hatred I freely admit. My rage has been building for the past year or so and is now manifesting in open disdain and distaste. Even for white gti's, sorry, although not as much.

I don't dislike the colour white itself, just white cars. I think I need to seek professional help :confused:

Add this to every new car pretty much being white (corsas and every other car kids my age are financing) I'm getting tired of seeing them everywhere

Post by: jbenekeorr on July 14, 2014, 08:06:25 pm: I wouldn't go as far as 'hate' but I'm getting a bit bored of white cars myself too. It'll be like in the early 2000's when everyone had silver cars. They'll be all over the second hand market soon. I think the GTI looks great in white to be fair.

I would not have another black car though - sick of cleaning it! Did it yesterday, it hasn't moved and you can see the dust/pollen sat on it.

As for white being a hassle to keep clean I disagree with that hugely, from all the colours I've had silver and white have been the best to maintain, most people just presume because it white it will be a pig to keep tidy. I get these comments all the time, so again :indifferent: :indifferent: haha

I went straight to a black mk2 after so from bad to worse! Only really had it through the winter though and it rained most of the time so it wasn't too bad

Previously had a white Mk2 Gti and just thought the Mk5 looked 'right' in white.

I still own the car and fully expect white to be out of fashion before I get rid of it.

Personally think it needs to look a bit tasty to suit white...a 1.0 litre Micra in white looks a bit 'Motorbility' to me.
