Title: DV G or D
Post by: Bennz on July 16, 2014, 02:45:43 am
Seen many threads on this topic. Mine currently is G, however decided to get it checked and possibly replace it.

I know the difference between G and D, however I heard some say D leaks boost.
How accurate is that? Overall is D worth it or should I stick with G ?

I'm running stock parts and don't plan to upgrade.

Appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks

I really don't get this thread

you know the difference between them and you have also stated that you have heard that the rev D leaks boost....

........so why don't you just get the rev G?!?!?!

Because I want to know others opinion as well . I hear some say D is okay and no leaks but few say otherwise.
And it's not like I can try before buying lol
Doesn't hurt to ask for opinions :)

I'm sure there's a newer rev now .... P I think? I've seen it somewhere in here It's £65 but could be better than G. Fit a rev C just to get under some peoples skins  :popcornsoda:

D can leak from factory as the piston type does not seal as well as the ones with the rubber diaphragm especially on big power cars. Just bang a g in and check at every service and replace when needed

G end off.

D DOES LEAK, it will as its a piston whereas G is a diaphragm so won't, it may split but will most likely not leak. Many of us with Stage 2+ K04's are running the G with no problems at all, holds boost way better.

Its basically a D with a cage thingy IIRC so avoid that one.
