Title: Advice re maintenance.
Post by: bbfb10 on July 17, 2014, 09:10:49 pm
Right, lm on a limited budget and can only afford to do these one at a time, my question is what order should l do them in?

DV (Rev G, obviously)

PCV

Cam Follower.

I figure Cam follower is best to do first, followed by PCV, then the DV. Is this right? If anyone has any advice or opinions Id welcome the input.

Are you a new owner? First I would do a cam belt oil plugs etc.., regardles of what they say.. but makes sense start from cam follower for piece of mind, most likely still minted. Pop the pump off and check it get new O ring seal as well. All above would leave a fault code at engine ecu..what eng code is yours?

Out of those 3 it's got to be cam follower.

Got this quote from AMD Tuning, does it sound about right?

PCV Valve - £32 + vat
DV – £52 + vat
Cam Follower - £26 + vat

Labour - £90  + vat
