Title: Oettinger remap KO3 GTI
Post by: Black9 on July 19, 2014, 04:04:09 pm
Thinking of having my GTI remapped. There's a garage which do something called eMaps which according to the garage owner is the same as an oettinger remap. He told me the guy who writes the oettinger maps also writes his eMaps.

He quotes 250 bhp with a remap!

I know this same guy has remapped M5, RS6, 335s etc...

He's quoted me £300

Seems very reasonable compared to REVO/APR £500+

Another such as R-Tech which is spoken about all the time on here and also Big Fish Tuning which are good in the North East area also do maps for £300 and probably many more

I just got my car mapped today at a place called youtune in Scotland, they did a cracking job and only charged £220

The problem with R tech is they are right at the opposite end of the country.

Oettinger Is a fairly well known company so thought it maybe worth a try. My old ED30 Was REVO and it felt very aggressive and not worth almost double an R tech remap IMO
