Title: Hi from Surrey

Car owned is a Mk5 GTI in Reflex Silver. A 5 door with leather and a few other options. Have tried the GTI forum but it seems dead over there especially for Mk5's.

looking for general advice and knowledge on common faults etc.

This may sound like a strange question, but you didn't just replace your Corrado G60 by any chance?

Nope. Never had a corrado.

I'm a BMW guy through and through, I deal in BMW parts as a business. But we have also had a GTI's on the drive at various points over the years. My wife loves them and after our old Mk4 20vT did such great sterling service, it was only ever going to be a Mk5 at this point that we went for.

My own car is an E61 05 530i mSport Touring. No oil burning here!!! :happy2:
