Title: Anyone has experience with Bluefin ECU remap?

Since superchip is a UK based company I thought there might be more chance of someone has or experienced their bluefin ECU map ?
I'm planning only to use stage 1 with stock. And I like the idea that the original ECU map will be stored on the unit and can be uploaded if their map plays up.

What is your verdict and experience on this particular product?

When R-Tech looked at what the bluefin was asking of the engine, it was basically maxing everything out to give an initial feeling of power then tailing off (the dyno graphs prove this).

As the TFSI's are getting older now, this style of mapping can't be good for aging fuel pumps, clutches etc

Thanks a lot for that ! So I guess best is to go with custom map than those one size fit all

Most people on the forum are going this way. Stick with a tuner thats recomended on the forum to make sure you are getting a decent map (custom code is an example of a supposed custom map which have left many disapointed).

Plenty of tuners reviews on the forum though  :happy2:

My issue is I don't live in UK :( but I managed to get a list of two reputable tuners locally . Just wanted to be sure if Bluefin was right but as I thought custom maps could be better if done rihht

Revo may be more suitable for you, plenty of dealers outside of the UK. They have a good reputation, but are typically more expensive than a small custom tuner.

Cheers will check them out ! I wanted to go with APR originally but the price in NZ is just ridiculous. So looking for alternatives , specially those that cause minimal excessive wear of engine and DSG


Well found no Revo dealer in NZ . So that's out if equation
