Title: GTI options

Does anyone know how I find out what options my car has? I saw on another forum someone said if they had the vin number they could find the full spec. I presume they worked for VW.

Also, can anyone post some info about what options were pre-requisites for others? For example, I have puddle lights and electric folding mirrors, can you have 1 without the other?

My options (as far as I know) are as follows:
RCD500 6 disc CD player
Centre arm rest
Cruise control
Heated full leather (winter pack??)
Multi-function steering wheel
electric folding mirrors with puddle lights

I think it tells you in the handbook, one of the first pages has the reg details and the vin number etc and on that same page there are lots of codes/part numbers, they relate to the options... i think  :rolleye:

Thats correct, look on Google for a PR Code decoder and you're away.
