Hi people
I've been reading up on a few bits which I really want to get working on my car but don't know if it's actually possible or not with new parts or coding etc?
I want to get the star button on my steering wheel working and the car image on the screen when I put the car in reverse.
The following links seem quite helpful:
http://www.my-gti.com/1234/volkswagen-rns-510-microphone-connection-for-voice-control
http://www.my-gti.com/739/upgrading-of-volkswagen-park-distance-control-pdc-to-optical-parking-system-ops
Also since replacing my mfd2 to the rns I have also lost the function of the up and down arrows on the mfsw which when I had the mfd2 they could change the radio stations and cd tracks on my changer but now they do nothing except scroll through my menus on my cluster?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

What does the star button do? Voice control? I cant remember!
I think the star button and the up / down arrows are just down to coding.
To get the optical reverse senses on screen, id guess you would need a new module. No idea which though! :signLOL:

Yeah it would be voice control it works if I press the star button on the unit but the button on the steering wheel does nothing?

So you have the microphone fitted? Just a coding issue then i would expect.
My star button on the wheel does exactly as you want, i coded it in myself

Yes the microphone is fitted in the interior light so just want to confirm that coding will get the star button working?
And hopefully the up and down arrows on the steering wheel can also be activated by coding??
