Title: AIRTEC & FORGE Twintercooler Owners HELP?!
Post by: Wooosh on July 24, 2014, 01:29:39 pm
I've currently got an AIRTEC twin spec intercooler same setup as FORGE twintercooler, but the boost pipe on the drivers side keeps coming lose since last Thursday & its beginning to drive me mad. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? As I would like to know what clamps to buy or whatever is required to stop this from happening again. Thanks in advance! :drinking:

I've always upgraded to mikalor hi grip jubilee clips just in case m8
I'd try some of these first ;)

Just check to make sure the boost pipes have enough room for when the engine rocks back and forth, when chaning gear...

There's plenty of room so nothing to do with movement.

Has the hose been cut to short?
Na not too short just seems to keep slipping and not gripping?

I had the same thing happen to me, I ended up using mikalor clamps to hold them on. But one thing I also did was clean up the pipe from any oil and then used some emery paper to slightly roughen the inside of the pipe and then on the connector just to give it a little more purchase
