Title: Unipart gone into administration
Post by: Viking on July 24, 2014, 05:45:10 pm: Just heard this afternoon....

UNIPART Automotive - one of the UK's largest suppliers of car parts and garage equipment - has gone into administration with the loss of more than 1,200 jobs. Surprised that after managing to weather the financial crisis of the past few years that just as things are getting better they're hitting difficulties.

There a huge American company called lkq there in bed with insurance already. There trying to take over pretty much everyone to become the number on supplier.

Then it's only a matter of time till there supplying your dry good,paint and parts in an insurance claim .

Cars over three years old already get non gen parts fitted to them.

Post by: DDM on July 25, 2014, 09:38:09 pm: I used unipart for years but the last couple their prices got way to expensive, I changed to a place called dmfx in darlington on the advice of maxitrol, and the difference was huge, by far the best motor factors IMO.
