Title: Noisy Brakes?

Hi need some help every now and then there is a worrying loud noise which appears to come from the rear brakes/wheels of my Mk5. It sound similar to a mechanical creaking noise with what sounds like a spring unspringing difficult to describe but quite loud and seems to occur at low speeds - any ideas?
