Hi guys just a quick question got my car remapped by amd in April
Standard 215hp on the rr
Thought they were only 200hp standard ??
After remap it's now 252hp 291 of torque
My dear friend reckons they make stuff up but I've got a graph from them is he winding me up or do I need to check these performance figures out
Thanks in advance

Take AMD rr results with a grain of salt.

AMD rollers have proven time and time again to be generous with the readings. Standard K03 GTIs on well known accurate rollers rarely have more than 200bhp, 215bhp would suggest some modifications before hand.
People have had fantastic figures at AMD, only to find on another set of rollers that they only have the same as everyone else at stage 1
Try Surrey Rolling Road, or JKM in Portsmouth. I'd put money on it that you get lower readings
Realistically you have around 242bhp I'd estimate :happy2:

Had mine done the other week at amd, my graph reads 200 standard and 249 after so I'm taking it as a healthy 240. Cars feels like an animal though and I couldn't be happier (until I get to retch for stage 2)

When i bought my car it had a AMD map. It was stated from the read out that power was at 250bhp. After fitting decat and ITG induction went down to r tech. On their reliable rollers figures were 236 bhp. On that basis i recon that AMD stage 1 is 230bhp.
This isnt the first time AMD figures have been questioned. Do a search on the forum im sure you will find more.
