Hi guys, just joined the forum after days of reading helpful posts seems a great place! Just picked myself up a 07 edition 30 a few days ago, already love it!
A few quick questions, I have purchased a Revo intake and it should arrive tomorrow I'm a competent home mechanic and was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to fit and does the engine cover just pull off like the standard gti one does?
Also the cambelt is due where is best to take it and what price am I looking at around £400 I believe with water pump?
Cheers guys!

I paid £350 for cambelt, waterpump and alternator belt. That was local garage.
VW will definitely be more expensive.

Welcome to the forum :drinking:
In future, please can give your threads a title which will help people searching for answers in future. For this thread, something like "intake and cambelt questions" would be a start :happy2:

Will do! Does anyone know much about the Revo intake, how long it takes to fit?
I want to try and fit it before work tomorrow lol
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! This place was the final nail in the coffin when I was looking to buy one!
Is it a unit which replaces the boost pipe? If so you will need a good pair of hose clamp pliers to remove the clip down the back of the engine, a local garage was kind enough to lend me there sets and the ones found in the link (below) are the only ones I could get to work

Apart from that it's very straight forward with plenty of help on here
Old engine cover removes same as gti, 4 rubber grommets, unplug the sensor, clip at the front, jobs a good'n
