Title: Show n Shine
Post by: tommy_d on July 29, 2014, 12:04:33 pm
Hi,

i am wanting to enter my eddy into a show n shine and was wondering how good does the car have to be ?

Mine is a daily driver the paint is all in good nick apart from very small stone chips on bonnet, i will obv machine polish the paint work to get rid of any swirl marks.

I am just after some advice on how good it has to be and wether it is even worth entering a visually standard daily driver?

Go for it. Really  good clean/polish/wax. Alloys inside & out, tyres dressed etc. Polish exhaust tips & wipe down engine bay & of course seats carpets, windows etc.

Touch up pen on the stone chips, wet sand them smooth and polish back up  :happy2:

Needs to be a minter to do well in show & shine. Good luck  :happy2:

Show n shine is just a name, there's loads of cars at shows which have been entered and their paint work is shocking

Unless your car is slammed,or on Air, or has the loudest radio and speaker system installed, it wont get a 2nd look at a shown shine competition. .

I tried it, waste of time.

you need scene credit as well, the voters vote for the popular show cars as well. so as steve says a standard car wont win much.
