Title: Remote Windows
Post by: Carbon Goodies on August 01, 2014, 11:10:40 pm
Well I found out today totally by accident that I can put all of my windows up and down using the remote fob.

Although it's pretty funky I can't say I'm too keen on it due to a security concern as it's very easy to press the buttons by mistake in your pocket.

For anybody that doesn't know about it you need to hold the unlock button for a few seconds and it will lower the windows and then if you hold the lock button it will put them back up.

I think you can only do this if you have the convenience pack or comfort pack or something though.

yeh but it's not just a quick press like locking or unlocking, you've to hold it for a good few seconds to activate it, so chances of it happening in your pocket are slim imo.

If you're genuinely worried about it you can have it coded out using VCDS, so if you know a mechanic or forum member with it nearby they could probably do it for a drink.
