Title: Ebay rns510 lookalike.

I'm the future I'm ggoing to uupgrade my rcd head unit.
Just had a quick look on eBay and came across this,  £184!
Has anyone got one of these or had any experience with them?
I'm presuming they are made in the same factory as the Vw ones just without the model number and name with it.

No, they're made in China from very low budget parts and materials. There's not really any comparison between the two. If it ticks all the boxes and someone else has bought one and it worked as expected, then it's worth a punt I guess. But it's not the same kit as the VW stuff.

if you can have a good look around you could get a version B RNS 510 for 300quid. The cheap chinese versions will have very little support and limited features. At least with an genuine RNS you can control it from MFSW, add bluetooth, Reverse camera and make it work with a highline cluster.

Ive replaced 2 of the chinese ones as people werent happy with them.
