Title: The best feeling
Post by: Tortaruga on August 03, 2014, 02:43:05 pm
I absolutely love the sensation at takeoff when the pilot winds the Rolls Royces up and you get shoved back in your seat. The few seconds waiting for clearance when you've taxied onto the runway and then he just nails it. Love it.

Can only dream what it must be like blasting off a carrier in an F15.

OMG you joking, they're heavy sluggish and take forever....

My company vehicle....0-95 in about 4 seconds when its light, for brake tests and bedding it weighs about 21000 lbs and I've got 5770lbs of thrust per side that's in the UK on a cold day

Took Jonny Cocker and Brake refurb Jonny down the runway once for some maintenance, full, power against the brakes release he reckoned it was about there with a Le man car.

30300lbs of Dubai +40 degrees ........not so much!

Brother flys a 737.........yaaaaaaaaawn....... :indifferent:

I was fortunate enough to be one of the last people to serve on a carrier as the last Harrier took flight.

They had balls... I wouldn't want to have been in the back seat.
