Title: do all gti's have the same rear calipers??
Post by: Stooey on August 03, 2014, 04:11:53 pm
i have found both the rear calipers on my mk5 gti are seized solid  :sad1: been looking for replacements but not sure how to find the correct caliper? is there lots of different calipers that were fitted to the gti?

I have found this link and was wondering if the ones that say there painted red be the ones that would fit my 2006 gti?

I don't think there were different calipers fitted, although I think they are the same as those fitted to some other mk5's, just painted red. You could disassemble and fix your own...the seals have likely broken and the sliders have seized.

If you need to replace them the R32 /. S3 rears are a great oem upgrade  :happy2:
