Post by: end2end86 on August 03, 2014, 06:38:41 pm
So here goes, I have a 5dr laser blue 2005 gti, last car was a Clio 182 so I'm loving the golf! Current mods are forge twintake and miltec cat back, I'm looking to remap the car but I'm not sure where to go?? Also have I done enough to the car to go stage2? All comments appreciated, thanks in advance  :happy2:

From reading previous posts on this topic, I'd advise a forge diverter valve. This will ensure you hold boost pressure at higher boost levels. The OEM ones are known to break even at standard boost pressure, the revision G's are meant to be better but I think the forge is stinger still.

That would be good for stage 2, however you could add an intercooler to keep intake temps down. Not required but better for power / avoiding heatsoak.

Welcome mate, Im from the south too and had mine remapped at JKM in Portsmouth. Top notch service from them and Revo maps are hard to fault but if you can make the journey I'd go see R-tech!
