would like xenons on it, but it seems there aren't that many of them doing the rounds. Therefore, is it possible to upgrade the standard lights to xenon units? And if so, how easy is it.

Also, any recommendations as to colours as well as prices I should be looking to pay?

Cheers.

hi mate,

ive recently bought a black mk5 gti in the last couple of months, only issue with these is that any marks or stonechips can be more visable which personally does bug me a little bit, im going to get it resolved at some point soon.

white is certainly the hardest colour to get hold off and more expensive but yeah from my own experience if you choose black be aware of the visibility of marks.

same time when its cleaned and waxed and looking shiny it looks stunning :)

Why exactly do you want Xenons? Just curious...

i think even when the xenons are off, it makes the car look so much better. Looks like a better spec'd car

Andy, I just think the xenons look quite mean. I enjoy the way they sort of 'flick on' when first turned on.

It wouldn't be a deal breaker, I just like the look of them and would have them if it wasn't too difficult or expensive to install. Especially in these dark winter evenings!

Would have preferred xenons with mine, but had to comprimise in the end as a lovely car came up for sale without them.
Have managed top pick a set up second hand though, already have the headlight washers so should be simple enough to fit, then enable with vagcom. Apparently the wiring is even available to fit the levelling sensors, so will be looking into this to be fully legal.

Good luck with your search!
