I've just paid an enormous amount of money to have a new compressor, switch and condenser fitted, and now the belt to the compressor is slipping every time it am in first gear and crawling, as in traffic queue.
Would I have had a new belt as standard with the compressor, or is there a problem with how it's been fitted?
It goes away if I rev the car a bit more or turn off the aircon

Was it a genuine belt they fitted?
Some motor factor ones may be a bit longer.

If it had new belt fitted, it might be the tensioner/damper on its way..check for cracks or signs of wear. There would be only 2 types for the one with AC and without..

I had a problem on a previous car where it was the clutch pulley on the alternator causing a rumble at idle/crawling.

Been tensioned properly?

AKS changed mine as it was squealing when pulling off. It's been fine ever since

I don't even know for sure if it's a new belt. The compressor is not a genuine one due to the cost, so if there is a new belt it will be after-market also.
