My rear light on the boot is steaming up and by the looks of things someones had a go at sealing it. I'm just going to buy a new unit and be done with it, ive found a replacement on ebay however its for Lhd and they have the fog light on the left as opposed to the reverse light. I would just like to know if i buy the unit would it be easy enough to swap the inner lenses over?
Thanks

Then you would have the same problem again trying to seal them

Suppose. I'll probably just buy a new unit if thats the case then.
Cheers anyways.

If you take the old one off, put a bead of silicone round it then turn a hairdryer on into the inside, leave it on until all condensation is removed and it should be ok

It's pretty easy to swap the inner clear / red lens on the tail lights - just a couple of tools and patience needed.
Have removed one on a LHD ED30 light as I want to put the clear lens in place of the red fog lens on my UK car (of course with a silver tinted red bulb to remain legal).
Have some pics if you need them :smiley:

Would appreciate it dave if you could put some pics up please mate so it would give me some sort of idea cheers.

Sorry for a late reply!
I haven't removed the rear lights from my car, but have read it is quite straightforward.
Once you have the inner light out, you need to undo the reflector housing / bulb holder (Philips screwdriver needed), and you should end up with the following;

In the pic above you can see the plastic lugs of what is the plastic red fog light / clear reversing lens - you just need to carefully press in the lugs one at a time and then you can remove the filter;
