How do i know which clocks to get to do the retro fit?

The clocks in my 07 gti are 1k0 920 963

Can anyone help please?

you should ideally stick to 973 or 974

Thats why im asking this question to be honest, i been looking into doing this mod for ages, but cant get my head around it

How does coding, mileage correction etc work?

You need your SKC code, as you have an 07 plate and if you dont have it, you will need Eddie or Kalu to extract it for you.

Once you have that, and the SKC for your new clocks (SKC for 970, 971 and 972 clocks can be extracted using VAG K+ Commander) then you can code it using VCDS.

Basically 973 and 974 are usually a bit more difficult to code. The guy who coded mine was able to do so as it was a early speedo ie 970/971/972.
But he wasn't able to extract the code from my mates 07 golf as it had the later speedo fitted. Something to do with the cable apparently. Eddie-nl can defo help you so worth giving them a PM.

973 & 974 I can do

You don't need the SKC for them as they are done differently

It does require the genuine Vag commander
