Hi There,
My Airbag light came on due to me checking my stereo worked before plugging back in the Airbag light so not actually faulty but light pops on.
I am due to drop my car into Halfords for an MOT in an hour and just wondering if they will fail me on this?
If so then I need to see what they would charge to reset it or check if a local garage will do it for cheaper
-
will fail on this
-
Thought so,
Just got car back and bad news is it failed but good news was only due to Air Bag light.
I advised them there was no fault and likely just needed the code reset which they said they would charge £50 so I have taken the car and will see if can get another garage to do it a bit cheaper.

Nice one,
Whats the protocol for getting in touch with these guys. Do I send them a message or open a topic asking for help?

Just in case you haven't done so already. I was quoted a huge amount to turn off light and jay on here recommended the app carista which can turn off your airbag light with the pro version.
The app is acting up on me but I did reveal the code and found a few more things with it!!

Thanks for the advice but I contacted Ben_g40 on here as literally lived 2 streets away and he reset it for free which was great of him and saved me paying £49 for diagnostics
I must say though Halfords were sound as turned up late for my re-test so they could not fit me in on the MOT machine until 12 however when I said what the issue was they popped out and checked the airbag light and then passed it and did not charge me so all good :happy2:
Next up is my Service :sad1:
