Title: Installing/Tapping into a Switched Live
Post by: suths on August 13, 2014, 11:48:27 am
I installed a Pioneer sat nav head unit a while ago but it needed a switched live for the radio reception to be anywhere near decent. I put off doing it as i didnt want to splice wires but the wife keeps moaning about not having the radio to listen to so i really need to get this sorted once and for all.

Does anyone in the North/West London area know how to do this? I'd be willing to travel if someone can lend a hand and beer tokens or cash will happily be given in return!

Buy something like ebay 191260852923 - this shares a fuse with an existing circuit. Simply run a wire from your HU switchd live feed to the blue crimp on this, five minute DIY and no hacking into wires/can be removed easy.

(You can get them cheaper but I linked them as it shows normal size and mini blade)
